Children
Helping Kids Build a Healthy Relationship with Food
Food is more than just fuel, it’s how we learn, grow, and connect. But in a world filled with mixed messages, many children struggle to develop a positive, confident relationship with food and their bodies.
Kai’s community is here to change that. Through books, interactive resources, and practical tools, we help kids and families navigate food with curiosity, trust, and joy. With engaging stories, reflection journals, and playful learning tools, we make food a fun, empowering experience that encourages lifelong healthy habits.
When kids learn to trust their bodies, listen to their hunger, and enjoy food without guilt or fear, they build the confidence and resilience to thrive, not just at the table, but in life.
Workplaces, Teams & Organisations
Anyone can find nutrition advice online. But facts alone don’t create change. Nutrition only makes sense in context — it’s shaped by stress, sleep, emotions, mindset, access, environment, culture, and the people around us — as well as our relationship with food and our body.
Together, these factors influence what we’re capable of, the opportunities we have, and the motivation we feel to make change.
That’s why Kendall helps workplaces, clubs, and community organisations move beyond meal plans and information to understand how food fits into the bigger picture of health and performance.
Her sessions go deeper than the “what to eat” by exploring the psychology of eating, motivation, and behaviour. There are no good or bad foods, no rigid rules. Just context, understanding, and tools to help people build a healthier relationship with food and make confident choices that work in real life.
Drawing on Te Whare Tapa Whā, behaviour change science, and positive psychology coaching, Kendall teaches teams to see nutrition as part of a whole system: body, mind, relationships, and environment.
Through interactive sessions and tailored wellbeing strategies, she equips people with practical tools, mindset shifts, and self-empowerment skills so they can fuel focus, goals, and build habits that last.
When people understand why food matters, not just what to eat, they don’t need more rules. They gain the knowledge, confidence, and emotional insight to thrive.
Holistic Dietitian

BcApSc, PG Diet, NZRD, Dip Grad Tchg, PPC
Kendall North is a NZ Registered Dietitian and Specialist Behaviour Change Coach who helps people rethink their relationship with food, what they want from their body, and their life.
Blending over two decades of clinical dietetic expertise across hospitals, doctors’ practices, and private practice with a background in high-school health teaching, food and nutrition education, professional cooking, sports nutrition and group fitness, Kendall brings a rare combination of science, lived experience, and empathy to her work. As a mum and lifelong learner, she understands that health and especially weight are deeply personal, emotional, and often confusing. Kendall has worked out that knowing what to eat is rarely the problem; it’s learning how to live well with food, emotions, and real life that makes the difference.
Her approach combines expert clinical assessment, nutrition diagnosis, and curiosity to uncover what’s really driving eating patterns, health outcomes, and motivation. Kendall knows that most people don’t need more nutrition information; they need help applying it with awareness, flexibility, compassion, and self-trust.
Through her exclusive evidence-based frameworks including the Habit-Resilience Framework™, Emotional Barometer™, and EQ of Eating™, Kendall helps clients and teams move beyond surface-level advice to explore the why behind their choices. Her work integrates nutrition science, positive psychology coaching, behaviour change principles, and Contextual Nutrition™ to build nutrition literacy, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and lasting healthy habits. She empowers people to think critically about nutrition and wellbeing, building the confidence to make informed choices that work for them.
Grounded in Te Whare Tapa Whā, Kendall’s approach considers the whole person: body, mind, emotions, relationships, values, and environment. She teaches people to “zoom out before zooming in,” understanding how food fits within the bigger picture of life rather than being reduced to rules or restrictions.
Whether supporting individuals, workplaces, or community organisations, Kendall brings compassion, clarity, and curiosity to every conversation, helping people understand their patterns, reconnect with their bodies, and build a relationship with food that fuels both health and happiness.
